I swiped the above photo from Dale. On his blog he wrote, "I'm bummed I don't get President's Day off, so Joe and I are out drinking and eating calamari at Longfellow Grill just to pretend it ain't so." I'm sorry Dale doesn't get the day off either. Now that I'm feeling better it would be nice to spend some time with him as a well person. Anyway, the food was fantastic. Dale had the salmon for an entree and I had the penne gorgonzola. For dessert I had butterscotch pudding and Dale had a deconstructed banana cream pie. It was all delicious.

Dale picked me up at Mike's and we headed over to the Longfellow Grill for a belated Valentine's Day dinner out. Obviously, I started out with a martini.

Cupid's Undie Run 2015
I had toyed with the idea of doing the Minneapolis Cupid's Undie Run this year. Would I have actually done it if I hadn't been sick? Probably not as the windchill was -27 on Valentine's Day morning. Maybe next year?

Meh. Still not feeling well and Dale is off at Alyn's house for the plans we had originally set for the night. Earlier we went to Pepito's for lunch and I forgot to order my burrito enchilada style. Slept most of the afternoon. Dinner on my own tonight. Woe. Woe. Woe is me.
Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown
I forgot to mention that on Thursday we watched Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown at school. The kids loved it. It played while I had small groups pass out their Valentine cards.

I took the whole day off from school yesterday and I took the morning off today due to illness. Our class Valentine party had to be today due to conferences tomorrow and Valentine's Day not actually being until Saturday. The sub did a great job keeping the kids' excitement in check. I told her to just put any Valentines and/or candy they brought behind my desk (see above).

Took the morning off due to recovering from bad cold/flu/whatever. Mailed Valentine cards to Calvin, Abby, Cashel, Xander, Cairic, & Emma on a walk with Athena before heading in to school.
