Dale and I haven't been drinking much lately but we had a little wine tonight. 

And cheese (Gouda) and crackers.

We listened to Ella Fitzgerald during cocktail hour. 

We made a quiche for dinner.

And had some leftover gingerbread cake from yesterday.

The few student's who brought stuff to pass out did so during the afternoon. I'd say only about six kids brought either Valentine's or a treat. 

I brought Paw Patrol Valentines that were little puzzles. The kids seemed to like them.

I had the kids make their Valentine's bags this morning. There didn't seem to be a lot of energy in the air for Valentine's Day this year. Not many kids brought stuff to pass out. 

Colleen made a red velvet cake for me and Alyssa. It was so nice of her and so delicious. 

One of my students brought me a chocolate rose. I've never gotten one before.

Dale and I spent time today completing tasks to get ready for the upcoming busy week. Dale went over to John's to help him start his day. John has PCA (personal care attendant) help every day except Sunday mornings. He needs help getting out of bed, getting dressed, and fed. I took care of cleaning up the house (dishes, bathroom, vacuuming, etc). When Dale got home we headed out to Target and Kowalski's to get our grocery shopping for the week. I picked up a mix for gingerbread cake (Dale love it) and made it!

During dinner Dale and I watched An Affair to Remember which I haven't seen in years. And by the way the gingerbread cake was awesome. 

Chocolate Pie

Warren had us over for dinner last night. He did a slightly scaled back Thanksgiving dinner with a chocolate pie for dessert.

We watched the Miss Richfield 1981 Christmas special.

Tonight Dale and I made a pot pie for dinner and we had leftover chocolate pie for dessert which was just as good the second time around. Chocolate is on my brain with Valentine's Day approaching I'm thinking of making chocolate brownies for the big day itself.
